My First Milky Way Shot: A Beginner's Journey in Astrophotography
Hello fellow stargazers!
As a beginner in the captivating world of astrophotography, I'm excited to share my very first attempt at capturing the magnificent Milky Way. I'm eager for your honest opinions and any constructive criticism you might have to help me improve.
Here are the details of my shoot:
- Camera: Canon 90D
- Lens: 16-135mm (shot at 16mm)
- Aperture: f/3.5
- Shutter Speed: 15 seconds
- ISO: 4000
- Location: Humenné, Slovakia
I captured 50 individual photos with these settings and then utilized Siril for stacking. The initial stretched result was promising, but I noticed that many fainter stars contributed to a perceived noise. To address this, I employed a script to reduce their visibility.
Here's the resulting image:
I'm always looking to learn and grow. If you have any tips or suggestions on how I can enhance my astrophotography skills, please share them in the comments below! Your insights are invaluable to a newcomer like me.
Thank you for your attention!
