My First Attempt at Capturing the Mineral Moon!
Hello fellow space enthusiasts!
Today, I'm incredibly excited to share my very first attempt at capturing what's often referred to as the "Mineral Moon." This was a challenging yet incredibly rewarding project, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts!
The goal of this image was to try and highlight the different mineral compositions across the lunar surface. By employing specific techniques and processing, we can start to tease out variations in the regolith that are invisible to the naked eye.
This was a significant learning experience for me, pushing my skills in data acquisition and post-processing. Seeing the subtle color differences emerge, representing the diverse minerals that make up our celestial neighbor, is truly awe-inspiring.
I'm still refining my approach and learning new ways to interpret the data, but I'm thrilled with how this initial attempt has turned out.
What do you think? I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments below!
