My Best Moon Photo: A Celestial Masterpiece

On July 14th, 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to capture what I believe is my best photograph of the Moon yet. The celestial body was a glorious 80% illuminated, offering a breathtaking view of its craters and seas.

The Equipment Behind the Shot

This particular shot was made possible using a surprisingly accessible setup: a Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ telescope paired with an iPhone 15. It's a fantastic example of how you don't need to break the bank to start exploring the wonders of astrophotography.

Bringing Out the Details

Once the image was captured, I utilized Adobe Lightroom to further refine and enhance the details. Post-processing is a crucial step in astrophotography, allowing us to bring out the subtle textures and features that make lunar photography so captivating.

I'm thrilled with the result and hope you enjoy this glimpse of our nearest celestial neighbor. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
