The Moon Last Night: A Celestial Capture
Last night offered a spectacular view of the Moon, and I was able to capture its beauty using a Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ telescope paired with my trusty iPhone 15. The result is a remarkably clear image that showcases the intricate details of our nearest celestial neighbor.
After capturing the raw footage, I took the image into Adobe Lightroom for some post-processing. The editing focused on bringing out the subtle textures and contrasts of the lunar surface, particularly along the terminator line, where the play of light and shadow is most dramatic.
The clarity of the image has been a pleasant surprise, and the feedback has been great! It's always rewarding to share these moments of cosmic wonder with others.
One observation from a fellow admirer suggested that the inclination of the terminator line might indicate a Mediterranean vantage point. It's fascinating how even subtle details in an image can spark such intriguing geographical connections!
