Summer Nights at the Geology Hut
This image, captured during a trip to Yosemite, is a personal favorite. It features the historic Geology Hut at Glacier Point lookout, a structure built in 1925 by the National Park Service. Originally serving as the park's first trailside museum, it was designed to interpret the unique geological features of Yosemite.
For this particular shot, a star tracker was essential. This allows for longer exposures without the issue of star trailing, which in turn captures significantly more signal and results in a cleaner, more detailed image.
