  • Exposures: 71 x 60 seconds

This was a great opportunity to test out a new lens, and the results speak for themselves, revealing a wealth of detail in the night sky.

The journey to bring out the subtle nuances of the Milky Way involved a meticulous post-processing workflow using PixInsight:

  • Graxpert
  • SPCC
  • BXT
  • NXT
  • HT
  • SCNR
  • Extensive use of Curves adjustments
  • Star Reduction using Starnet2 and a specialized PixInsight script ()
  • LocalSaturation applied to enhance the subtle brown and red hues within the galactic core.

The result is a vibrant and detailed representation of our celestial home, a testament to the power of astrophotography and dedicated processing.
