Northern Lights Dazzle from North Vancouver: A Spontaneous Capture
Sometimes, the best moments are the ones you don't plan for. Such was the case for this incredible capture of the Northern Lights, taken from North Vancouver in October of 2024.
Initially, the day was filled with a persistent cloud cover, dimming hopes for any celestial spectacle. However, as the sun began to set, a stroke of luck occurred – the clouds parted, revealing a clear sky perfect for witnessing the aurora.
This spontaneous decision to drive to North Vancouver paid off immensely, resulting in a breathtaking panorama of the G6 solar storm's display. The photographer utilized a Sony A7IV with a Sigma 24mm f2.0 lens, creating a stunning 20x10 inch panorama with an aperture of f2.0.
It was truly a magical night, and the resulting photograph speaks for itself. If you're interested in seeing more of the photographer's work, you can find them on Instagram at .
