My Second Ever Startrail: Unveiling the Night Sky with an Affordable Wide-Angle Lens
As I gear up for an upcoming vacation to Norway, my focus has been on acquiring the right gear for landscape and astro photography. The quest for a quality wide-angle lens that wouldn't break the bank led me to the TTArtisan 10mm f/2 manual focus lens. And wow, did it deliver!
This image, my second ever attempt at a startrail, is a testament to the lens's capabilities. For such an affordable piece of equipment, the results are simply astounding. Despite a rather moist night, which led to some condensation on the lens, the image remained unaffected. This experience has me even more excited to put this lens to the test in the stunning landscapes of Norway.
This startrail was captured using the TTArtisan 10mm f/2 lens. The tripod used was the SmallRig CT-20. While the details of acquisition and processing weren't fully elaborated in the original post, the visual outcome speaks volumes about the potential of budget-friendly equipment in the realm of astrophotography.
For those venturing into night photography, particularly in damp conditions, investing in an electric dew strip could be a valuable addition to prevent condensation from impacting your shots. I'm eager to share more of my photographic adventures as I continue to explore the wonders of the night sky!
