From Humble Beginnings: My Dive into the Astrophotography Universe
Hello fellow stargazers!
My name is Gastón, and I hail from the beautiful country of Mexico. About a year ago, I took my first tentative steps into the breathtaking world of astrophotography. It all started with a Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ. While it was a very basic instrument, it ignited a passion within me and brought immense joy.
As my fascination grew, so did my equipment. I gradually acquired new eyepieces, a Svbony SV205 camera, and then an SC715C. The real game-changer, however, was my decision to invest in a Star Adventurer GTI mount. Paired with a Canon T3i that I enthusiastically modified myself, a Rokinon 135mm lens, and an Asiair kit (though the weather sadly prevented me from using the Asiair immediately!), I felt like I was truly stepping up my astro-imaging game.
The community has been incredibly supportive, offering fantastic suggestions. I've already got an Astrodymium Ring System with a ZWO EAF on its way to further enhance my Rokinon 135mm, promising some exciting advancements in autofocus. It's a learning process, and I'm eager to explore all the possibilities!
I'm excited to share my journey and learn from all of you as I continue to capture the wonders of the cosmos. Clear skies to all!
