My First Lunar Eclipse Shot with a SkyWatcher Classic 150P!

Hello fellow space enthusiasts!

As a newcomer to the breathtaking field of astrophotography, I'm thrilled to share my very first attempt at capturing a celestial event: a lunar eclipse! It was an incredible experience, and I'm excited to show you the results.

The Gear

For this endeavor, I used the following equipment:

  • Telescope: SkyWatcher Classic 150P
  • Eyepiece: 25mm
  • Camera: iPhone Pro Max

This setup was perfect for getting started, and I was eager to see what I could capture.

The Capture

Capturing the lunar eclipse was a lesson in patience and technique. Aligning the telescope and getting a clear shot with a phone can be challenging, but the payoff was well worth it. The image below is the result of my first serious attempt at lunar astrophotography.

Looking Ahead

While this is just the beginning, I'm incredibly encouraged by this first image. I'm already planning my next astrophotography adventures and looking forward to improving my skills and equipment. Stay tuned for more!
