My First Astrophotography Shots with the Sony ZVE10
Hello fellow stargazers and photography enthusiasts!
I'm thrilled to share my very first attempts at astrophotography, captured with my new Sony ZVE10 and its trusty kit lens. All of these shots were taken from a tripod, which is a crucial first step in capturing the wonders of the night sky.
My Current Setup and Settings
As a beginner, I'm still getting my feet wet with the technicalities, but here's a rundown of what I've been experimenting with:
- Camera: Sony ZVE10
- Lens: Kit lens (stock)
- Aperture: Set to its maximum, which is f/3.5.
- ISO: I'm currently using Auto ISO as I'm still trying to figure out the sweet spot for astrophotography.
- Shutter Speed: Ranging from 1 to 3 seconds, depending on the specific shot I'm aiming for.
I live in an area with a significant amount of light pollution, so I'm always on the lookout for those perfect, dark nights to get the best results. This definitely adds an extra layer of challenge, but it also makes those clear nights even more rewarding!
The Results
Here are a few of my initial shots. They've been slightly edited to bring out the details.
Seeking Your Wisdom!
I'm incredibly eager to learn and improve, so I'm completely open to any and all tips and suggestions you experienced astrophotographers might have. What are your go-to settings for the ZVE10? Any advice on managing light pollution or understanding ISO for night sky photography?
Apologies if my explanation isn't the clearest – English isn't my first language, and I was a bit rushed putting this together. But the passion for capturing the stars is definitely there!
