Capturing the Cosmos: My Favorite Moon Shot

Hello fellow stargazers! Today, I'm thrilled to share one of my absolute favorite astrophotography captures: the Moon.

This image was taken using a rather humble yet effective setup: a OnePlus 6 smartphone coupled with an 8-inch homemade Dobsonian telescope. Building telescopes from scratch is a passion of mine, and seeing the results like this makes all the effort incredibly rewarding.

The Moon

This particular shot of our celestial neighbor really resonated with me. The details visible through even a modest homemade instrument can be breathtaking, and the OnePlus 6 proved to be a capable companion for capturing this lunar landscape. It's a testament to how accessible and enjoyable astrophotography can be with a bit of ingenuity and a lot of passion.

It felt too good not to share with the community, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Happy viewing!
