My First Milky Way Shot of the Season: Rye, New Hampshire
I'm still relatively new to the world of astrophotography, but I was eager to get out and capture the night sky as the season began. My latest attempt took me to Rye, New Hampshire, a location that might not be considered prime dark sky territory, but I was hopeful.
I'm really pleased with how this first shot of the season turned out! It's always a challenge to find those perfect conditions, especially when you're not out in the absolute wilderness. However, I think the results speak for themselves. The band of the Milky Way is clear and vibrant, stretching across the darkness. What's particularly striking is how the sky beneath the galaxy seems to echo the texture of the ocean under moonlight, creating a captivating visual effect.
It's encouraging to see such detailed results even from a location that isn't completely isolated. This shot has definitely fueled my passion to explore more and refine my techniques. Looking forward to many more nights under the stars!
