In the sea, an unusual blue glow emanates from bioluminescence, a captivating display caused by single-celled plankton called Noctiluca scintillans. These microscopic organisms, when stimulated by the lapping waves, emit light to startle and illuminate potential predators. The intensity of this natural light show on an island in the Maldives was so profound that it was aptly described as a "turquoise wonderland."
Against this dazzling oceanic backdrop, the familiar and majestic glows of stars and nebulas grace the night sky. The prominent white band, rising from the subtly illuminated green flora, is the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy, composed of billions of stars.
