This stunning image of IC1396 was brought to life through dedicated astrophotography, utilizing a specialized HSO (Hydrogen-alpha, Sulphur, Oxygen) color mapping. The process involved:
- Acquisition: 20 exposures of 300 seconds for Hydrogen, 20 exposures of 300 seconds for Oxygen, and 20 exposures of 300 seconds for Sulphur.
- Processing: The data was meticulously processed using Astro-Pixel Processor (APP) for calibration, registration, and normalization. Further integration and post-processing were handled with PixInsight (PI), with final cosmetic touches applied in Photoshop.
