Technical Details
Achieving such detail and clarity required a sophisticated post-processing workflow. The final image is a composite of 37 individual exposures: 16 dedicated to capturing the celestial wonders of the sky and 21 focused on the intricate details of the foreground.
- Sky Exposures: Captured at 24mm, ISO 650, with an aperture of f/2.0 for 120 seconds each. Eight rows of two exposures were taken to gather ample light from the cosmos.
- Ground Exposures: Shot at the same 24mm focal length, with an ISO of 100 and an aperture of f/2.8, using a shutter speed of 1/15th of a second. Seven rows of three exposures were utilized for the terrestrial elements.
The editing process itself was an endeavor, taking the better part of a week to meticulously blend and refine. The level of detail achieved is, quite simply, mind-blowing.
