Last night, a breathtaking view unfolded in the Rhön region of Germany, revealing the vibrant heart of our galaxy. This first capture of my recent trip showcases the rising Milky Way Core, a spectacle that transforms the night sky from mere darkness into a canvas of vibrant color.
As you can see in the image, the night sky isn't just dark – it appears almost alive. The bright galactic core commands attention, its luminous presence a testament to the billions of stars within it. But the magic doesn't stop there. The sky is further enhanced by the subtle, yet captivating, presence of red and green airglow, painting ethereal hues across the celestial panorama. - Halpha Data:
- Sigma 65mm f2 with ISO 2500 | f2 | 7 exposures of 75 seconds each was used to capture the crucial red hydrogen-alpha emissions, particularly prominent in nebulae.
