Death Valley National Park Embraces the Majesty of Orion
From a recent trip to Death Valley National Park, this stunning image captures the iconic constellation Orion rising above a desert canyon. The photographer, on their maiden voyage in a camper van, scouted multiple locations over two nights to achieve this breathtaking shot.
Death Valley proves to be an ideal location for astrophotography, especially during this time of year. The ability to shoot in various directions throughout the night allows for a dynamic range of celestial subjects. Despite busy nights filled with capturing both Orion and the Milky Way, the camper van provided a comfortable base for rest between shooting sessions.
