Cyclops Arch & the Milky Way: A Celestial Dance in Alabama Hills
There's a magic that happens when the cosmos aligns with terrestrial wonders. The Cyclops Arch in Alabama Hills, with the Milky Way arching through its stone eye, creates a scene that feels ripped from the pages of a fantasy novel.
The Hunt for the Arch
Finding Cyclops Arch was an adventure in itself. Armed with a general idea from Google Maps, the actual search in the darkness was a testament to perseverance (and perhaps a touch of recklessness!). Thankfully, fate intervened in the form of a fellow astrophotographer who knew the way. Teaming up for the hike was not only safer but also added a unique camaraderie to the night's pursuit.
It turned out to be my first time collaborating on an astrophotography shoot, and the experience was truly special. Sharing stories, comparing shots, and simply standing under the vast expanse of stars with someone who shares the same passion was an unforgettable element of the night.

The resulting image is a testament to careful planning and execution, blending the ethereal glow of the Milky Way with the rugged beauty of the desert landscape.
