Chasing Meteors: A Perseids Compilation from Big Bend

Last night, under the vast expanse of the Big Bend sky, I had the incredible opportunity to witness and capture the annual Perseids meteor shower. The celestial display was nothing short of breathtaking, with streaks of light painting across the darkness.

I managed to put together a quick compilation of some of the best moments from the night. This footage was captured using a

L3 1531 night vision device paired with a GoPro 10. I'm still experimenting with the settings on the GoPro, so please bear with the slight graininess in some parts of the video. However, the raw capture still conveys the immense beauty of the event.

Seeing the Milky Way so clearly and then having meteors streak through the frame is a truly humbling experience.
