To embark on this astrophotographical adventure, a specific set of tools was employed:
- Telescope: Meade LX10 8" SCT (Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope)
- Focal Reducer: F/6.3 focal reducer for wider field of view and faster imaging.
- Filter: UV/IR cut filter to block unwanted ultraviolet and infrared light, ensuring cleaner images.
- Camera: ASI585MC Pro, a high-sensitivity color astronomy camera.
- Observing Environment: Bortle 8, indicating a moderately light-polluted sky.
The Cosmic Dance: Acquisition
Capturing the raw data for this image involved a meticulous acquisition process:
- Software: SharpCap was used for controlling the camera and guiding the imaging session.
