Capturing the Full Moon: A Childhood Telescope's Revival
Sometimes, the most exciting scientific discoveries happen right in our own backyard – or, in this case, a childhood attic!
During a recent visit to family, I stumbled upon my old telescope, a faithful companion from my younger days. It turns out my little sister has been keeping the spirit of exploration alive by using it. Seeing it again, I couldn't resist the urge to try something new: capturing the full moon with my phone for the very first time.
The Setup
This endeavor wouldn't have been possible without the trusty gear at hand:
- Camera: iPhone 13 Pro
- Telescope: Bresser Reflecting Telescope
- Telescope Specifications: f= 700mm, d= 76mm
The Shot
After some experimentation, this was the best shot of the night. It's incredible to see what can be achieved with a bit of curiosity and readily available technology.
