The Imaging Process
The journey to this stunning image involved dedicated effort and precise execution. The data acquisition spanned a total of 30 minutes. However, after meticulous rejection stacking, which discards frames affected by noise or atmospheric disturbances, the final image is composed of 153 individual 10-second exposures, totaling an effective integration time of 25 minutes and 30 seconds.
Post-Processing Prowess
To bring out the intricate details and vibrant colors of the Dumbbell Nebula, the raw data was expertly processed using Siril, a powerful and free astrophotography processing software.
