Amazing Lunar Close Up Captured Tonight

Tonight, I managed to capture an absolutely breathtaking close-up of our Moon. It's always a thrill to turn my gaze upwards and see our celestial neighbor in such detail.

The Setup

For this shot, I utilized a Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ telescope, a reliable workhorse for getting started with lunar and planetary viewing. To capture the image, I paired it with my iPhone 15, demonstrating how accessible high-quality lunar photography can be with modern smartphone technology.

The Process

After capturing the raw images, I brought them into Adobe Lightroom for some post-processing. Lightroom's powerful tools allowed me to enhance the details, adjust contrast and sharpness, and bring out the subtle textures on the lunar surface.

The Result

Here's the final image. I'm incredibly pleased with how it turned out, revealing the craters and maria with impressive clarity.
